Dwight,

The problem is, I don't think that MSFT conceding on this issue (and voluntarily letting the OEMs out of contracts that the OEMs signed) will satisfy MSFT critics. What I see is that the most vehement critics of MSFT simply want the hugely popular Win95 to be less popular. Robert Bork is quoted in the WSJ as saying he is "alarmed" that MSFT was offering concessions. And yet, Robert Bork was quoted in IBD several days ago as saying he doesn't know what a fair solution is. But he sure knows how to bitch and whine for Netscape.

You can bet that the next target will be NT5. The mob will want to castrate and strangle it before its even released. Gotta protect the poor helpless Unix vendors. Bork and others of his mentality are scary SOB's.

Regards, JB
