The 55 day rule is that if the market fails to pass its peak within 55 trading days of the peak then on the 55 day (or thereabouts) their will be downward correction. We talked about this in August/September last year and bingo it worked with the "crash". If you go back over old records it pretty well holds true and I guess it has something to do with brokers' settlement terms.
