Its the first time i've seen it. I was under the impression that Pairgain was developing their own DMT; Non-standard DMT. Maybe someone else will have some information on Pairgain talking with AMTX for standard DMT?

The BYTE article has to be the best over-all reference that i've read on trying to understand these broadband technologies. It pulls together many different subjects into a form that anyone should be able to understand.
