re: DELL July 17th Annual Meeting

This is my current list of those who have told me that they plan to
attend, and who are also intending to come one day early for a
factory tour and management briefing*, as well as a chance to
get together and socialize a bit before the meeting.

* NOTE: the factory tour and management briefing is still not
firm. It is only potential. Mr. Robert Williams of DELL Investor
Relations assured me on Thursday that he will get back to me with a
definitive answer within the next couple of days.

Together with family members and fellow shareholders, we now have 30
persons confirmed, which is the maximum number I had requested. I will
place any other names on a stand-by list in case DELL can accommodate
more than we requested, or in case someone on the list has to change
his plans. (REMEMBER, as of this writing, DELL has not yet agreed to
our request)

I have confirmed dinner and entertainment for the group for Friday
evening at one of Austin's renowned establishments, "Esther's
Follies". Esther's presents a variety show of music, humor, and magic,
which I believe you will enjoy. Regardless of whether we get the
factory tour, any other DELLhead, friend, or family member who would
like to join us is welcome: however, you must let me know in advance,
as I have to confirm reservations (and pay for no shows).

A light dinner and cocktails is scheduled for 5:30. Esther's is on
6th Street, the center of Austin's eclectic music scene. Dinner
should cost about $14.00 including tax and gratuity. The show starts
at 8:00 P.M. and will cost $11.00. The show will end by 10:00 P.M. so
that you can sample some of Austin's other entertainment, if you
wish. For current information on what's available, try

or email Donnie (Venkie). Obviously, no one is required to participate
in any of the group activities, though I would enjoy meeting you all.

Information on hotels and accommodations next post...

regards, 3.
