IFN's telecommunications expertise

CGL Technologies is focused on software development for the
real-time and embedded systems markets. We specialize in
applications where performance is critical: multitasking
implementations of time-critical networking systems, for
example. We implement software of different levels of
abstraction, from complex, algorithm-intensive, applications to
input/output-intensive hardware interfaces (drivers).
As consultants to major multinational telecommunication and
electronic systems solution providers, CGL Technologies has
assisted in the design of numerous telecommunication products
incorporating embedded and workstation-based software
modules. We have written code to Bellcore and ISO
telecommunication standards, among others, and have
participated in the creation of network management products
based on protocols such as TL1 and CMIP, projects which
required knowledge of the principles and implementation of
operation and management systems. We have developed
software for products based on telecommunication standards
such as ATM, SONET, MPEG, T3/E3 and T1/E1, and are
knowledgeable in many common data communication protocol
suites such as TCP/IP.
In the hardware interfaces market, we have developed software
drivers for numerous devices, both commercial and proprietary,
including Ethernet, SCSI, synchronous and asynchronous
communications, flash memories, sophisticated
microprocessors, and many custom ASICS. Most were
developed for use with real-time operating systems and feature
state-of-the-art software implementations. |
