I found the following review on page c7 of Wednesday's Newsday:

"Acclaim's All-Star Baseball '99 for Nintendo 64 is _the_ hit of
the season. Amazing graphics and painstaking specifics make the
game a must-have. Created by Acclaim's Iguana Entertainment
(makers of "NFL Quarterback Club '98" and "Turok: Dinosaur
Hunter"), "All-Star Baseball" has a ton of features designed
specifically for the N64, including jaw-dropping Hi-Rez
graphics....
Graphically, "All-Star Baseball" is astounding. The
polygonal players are less rigid and have more realistic,
rounded features. There are more than 100 distinct batting
stances, and stadiums are incredibly lifelike.
"All-Star Baseball" supports the N64 Rumble Pak and
four-way play. It is expected to be released by the end
of May.
.... The graphics on "High Heat" aren't close to "All-
Star Baseball," but not many games are. Instead, it offers
a sharp artificial intelligence, which makes the game more
real, challenging and fun. The pitch and swing physics
are also accurate and realistic."
