Brian,

I think the next generation of CPU will consumer most for the capacities. This will put capacity back to 0.35um (in relative term). However, more carrots will need to be put up before consumers are willing to upgrade from the 6th generation. A big carrot is softwares. I don't see that will happen soon. So the immediate one is price. All players will have to sell more silicon per less.
