TO: LockMart heritage Loral employees: Received info in mail today that provided notice that the Loral Space stock fund will be terminated effective 12/31/99 (part of the LMT 401k). The brochure mentions the option to take a stock distribution "for those wanting to continue owning an interest in Loral".

QUESTION: Do any of you have visibility into the potential mechanics of such a distribution? And what of the tax implications?

I plan to fund my 4-yr-old son's college out of LOR stock, and Bernie can put my next one through law school, too...
