( BW)(MANAGEMENT-TECHNOLOGIES)(MTCI) MTi signs Global Distribution
Agreement for the world's most widely used foreign exchange
application
Business Editors
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 27, 1996--Management Technologies
Inc. (MTi) (NASDAQ:MTCI) announced Wednesday that they have signed
an agreement with Spreadsheet Link Ltd. (SSL) for MTi to become the
first world-wide distributor of the new FxCalcNet application.
FxCalcNet is the latest product developed by SSL, who specialize
in the development of FX and Money Market applications.
Significantly extending the functionality of its forerunner
FxCalc, the world's most widely used foreign exchange and money
market rates calculator application, FxCalcNet is a next generation
product which offers users a wide range of additional functionality
and performance enhancements.
Keith Turner, managing director, Spreadsheet Link, stated: "We
wanted to make FxCalcNet available to a much wider range of customers
than was previously possible with our FxCalc product. We required a
partner with a global presence and similar views on the use of
innovative technology to solve business problems. The distribution
agreement that we have signed with MTi gives us exactly that."
MTi's Sales Director, Mark Bradbury, confirmed: "The signing
of this agreement with Spreadsheet Link adds a powerful tool to the
armory in MTi's aggressive new business sales campaign. It means
that all existing FxCalc users, that's over 20,000 individuals, can
now be put on the prospect list for OpenTrade and/or TradeWizard based
on FxCalcNet solutions."
When used with MTi's advanced TradeWizard environment, FxCalcNet
enables the intermixing of deal and real-time rates and provides
users with unparallel flexibility in terms of displays and the
calculation of cross rates, outrights, cross forwards, broken dates
and FRA's. Real-Time calculations can be selected and modeled at the
click of a button; a second click serves the quoted rates together
with the source rates and time of the last rate update. FRA prices
can be calculated from cash or futures sourced from multiple
exchanges.
Via the optional OpenTrade Contribution extension, all rates can
be entered and distributed to all or a selected subset of users for
display and use within other calculations. Additionally, with the
OpenTrade Contribution extension, all rates can be contributed or
published to external information providers.
