Look at these co's sales on a yr over yr and qtr over qtr basis and tell me what you see.

CPQ
HWP
IBM
INTC

the slowdown is already here. It will not get better. It has been getting worse and will coninue to do so. GTW and DELL have been unaffected as of yet because they used to be the low cost providers, that is changing. Now, they will feel the pain too.

Another thing, I keep seeing DELL being compared to MSFT on this thread. DELL and MSFT have NOTHING in common. MSFT sells software. There are huge barriers to entry, and products are co. specific. additionally. If you want win'98, you can ONLY buy it form MSFT. Margins are very high becuase the major costs are intellectual capital and mkting. DELL sells a commodity. You can buy it from anybody. Only the price matters. Is DELL overpriced at these levels? DELL has the a greater mkt cap right now than Boeing..... enough said.
