Well, perhaps your ecosystem here is robust, but I think I might get snagged on the reef or something. If the Fish agrees with you, then I am a little like a mermaid in distress--totally on my own over here.

There is a huge debate about what the Second Amendment means. I wish the Supreme Court would rule on whether it intends American citizens to be fully armed as individuals. However, there is no definitive court ruling according to everything I have read. Can you show me one?

The clause about the militia seems to be about arming a nation to fight off attacks on its sovereignty. The framers of the Constitution were worried about being attacked. Also, as we have discussed before, police departments even in major cities did not come into being until about 1840.

Clearly, in other countries with parallel personal freedoms, carrying a gun is not a right. Why are we so out of line with other countries?
