George, re: Money Flow

Very simple.

Trade on uptick creates positive money flow equal to price X # of shares.

Trade on downtick is just the opposite.

So, if Dell trades 1MM shares going down from $95 to $91, and 30MM shares buying from $89 3/8 to $90, the money flow will be extremely positive.

Friday, obviously this wasn't the case. But, statistically the negative money flow was statistically insignificant. The fact that the money flow was basically neutral tells you that there was no sell-off. Buyers stepped up en masse when the price came close to $90.
