I had a quick chat with Irwin Gross today. Thought fellow and future ICGN investors
might be interested in the gist of the dialogue.
1. Internet business is "fantastic" (his quote).
2. AC business is ok but coming along a little on the slow side.
3. Company will begin talking with analysts/institutions next week.
4. Conference call should be scheduled for next week.
5. Should be some announcements next week.
6. Hopefully an announcement regarding the AC business in approximately 4 weeks.
7. Waiting for the shareholders meeting to get approval for name and ticker symbol
change.
8. I asked if he was worried about anything (negative) in particular-NO.
9. I asked him about the possibilty of a secondary offering. Quite likely. These funds
would soley be used for accquistions and he didn't see share dilution. I should have
asked him to explain this but I guess he was refering to increased revenue/earnings due
to any accqusition.
10. I asked him what the AC business was worth in a sale/spin-off? He didn't want to
comment on this at this time.
11. The cancellation of the recent conference call was due to the company being in its
"quiet period" (I mentioned this in one of my previous posts) and on the advice of their
lawyers due to things being "in the works".
12. He agreed with me that once analysts start coverage of the company then the
stock price upside should be good.
He was extremely positive/upbeat on the internet business. If I remember anything else
I will post it.
BTW, I think the earnings, negative 9 cents/shr, were ok and future earnings for the
internet company will be very positve. Today's earnings came out at 15.54 EST and
the last trade was at 15.54 so no action was seen from the announcment, Monday
may be interesting.
