I recall reading a Yahoo SEC filing where an investor filed that he acquired additional shares in a company to hold 9.3% of the company. The 50 million shares held by 4 individuals would bring their holdings to more than 10% each. If they did not file with the SEC could be a problem. My understanding is that all public companies have to advise SEC when approaching 10% holding in a public company. I guess we need more research on this matter. E//.
