The answer to the very important question of `long on Cisco or long on Lucent?' is actually very simple. Long on both Cisco and Lucent. A smart investor to get his/her bases covered, or at least two of the most important ones. We have just barely scratched the potential of the networking market. The best of it is still ahead.
