VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Gaming
Technology, Inc. (OTC-Bulletin Board: AGTI) today announced the resignation of
Robert C. Silzer, Sr. as a Director/Chairman of the Board and Firoz Lakhani as
a Director, President/Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Thomas S. Nieman, Chief
Executive Officer (d/d 11 February 1998) has been appointed a Director and
Chairman of the Board and Mr. Neil Jenkins has also been appointed as a
Director.
Mr. Jenkins is a graduate of Brown University and Loyola University of
Chicago School of Law, and a member of the International Association of Gaming
Attorneys, where he was a Member of the Board of Trustees from 1985 to 1996.
The International Association of Gaming Attorneys is a 500 plus member
organization of attorneys and government regulators practising and regulating
gaming through the world.
Currently, Mr. Jenkins is a business consultant and operates a golf tour
and travel company specialising in tours to Scotland and Ireland. He also
serves as a member of the Board of Directors, member of the Executive
Committee and Chairman of the Compensation Committee for Nexthealth, Inc. a
public company which operates an alcohol and chemical addiction treatment
centre and a five-star health and wellness spa in Tuscon, Arizona.
From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Jenkins was Executive Vice President, Corporate
Secretary and Member of the Board of Directors of Bally Gaming International,
Inc. where he was a member of the Senior Executive Management. He was
responsible for the co-ordination of business development and licensing
matters for this NASDAQ company engaged in the gaming machine business on an
international basis.
From 1985 to 1992, Mr. Jenkins was Executive Vice President, Secretary
and General Counsel for Bally Manufacturing Corporation, where as Senior legal
officer for a $2 billion multinational Fortune 500 company, a NYSE company, he
co-ordinated legal matters for the parent corporation and major subsidiaries;
directed activities of outside law firms on a world-wide basis; co-ordinated
acquisitions and divestiture of numerous leisure and casino/hotel companies
and related public securities transactions.
The current board consists of Thomas S. Nieman, Robert L. Hunziker and
Neil Jenkins.
