Does anybody know if 56.6 is the theoretical limit for analog modems?
If it is, does usrx modems have the memory and
ability to software upgraded to say xDSL (probably not since
one is analog and the other digital, but with flash memory in
the DSP it may be possible)?
If not, then why would I pay twice as much for a usrx modem, when
I can buy a rockwell chipset modem for half the price (Of course,
I might wait until the standard is defined, I'm one of those who
will not upgrade to 56.6 until the modems come down in price to
$75 (18 months)).
