Savoirman, Re Indonesia- It sounds like the Indonesian revolution is unfolding along the lines of the Russian revolution a few years ago- mainly Jakarta/Capital City centered. That does not lessen the significance of the violence (especially if you are the person injured or worse- killed!) - but does suggest that the rest of Indonesia is in fairly decent shape. One other points of interest- my friend from Singapore was in town last week. He works at a major Singapore Refinery. He noted that for the first time in months that profit margins on product sales at the refinery turned upward- one indication in basic goods demand that Asia is slowly mending economically...
