Chuz, I agree completely. Its one of my hot buttons too. I'm all in favor of paying for top executive talent and for rewarding performance. But this level of "compensation" is completely out of line with any rational system, and there seems to be virtually no limit to how far such programs go. Certainly it goes far beyond what's necessary to attract and retain top talent. And it comes straight out of the shareholders' pockets. I haven't read the Barons article, but DELL's 10-Ks show what's going on. Obviously, this isn't happening just at DELL, either. Cheers.
