Newman impressed me as being a very unpretentious, honest, straighforward, intelligent man, wearing a simple, plain shirt, not a suit/tie. I felt positive about his body language, his expressions, and felt he handled the adversarial position which CNBC took very well. The closest facial and body image I can think of, with which you might be familiar, would be Robert Duval. He was neat, not shaggy - casual, as are people in the tech world, as opposed to the "banker" look. He could have come out of the military, perhaps, but was not "overly pressed" either.
BTW, I pass through your lovely Wales frequently on my way to Cornwall to visit my family.
