Hi Frank, I believe that the technologies represented by the Internet Telephony Industry will help grow the overall value of the existing US$800 Billion dollar Telecommunication industry to approx US$1.6 Trillion in a time span much quicker than it took for the Telecommunications Industry to have the current US$800 Billion dollar valuation. My time frame here is looking at the next 7 to 10 years. (But it may take longer.)

I believe that this number is a combination of the items that you
referenced above - and also represents next generation services not yet invented but, become available only because of the advent of Telcos / Service Providers who have invested in IP Networks.

I agree 100% with you. In fact - this was one of the main reasons which caused me to write the letter to Vice President Gore on April 8th. ( see pulver.com for a copy of the letter.)
