Bob, while it is too early to say who will win (LU or CSCO), my opinion is that mergers seldom work especially mergers which are georgraphically dispersed. For example, I sold my Travellers shares because I don't believe that they will be able to integrate such huge companies. Chambers knows this and I respect him for this insight. However, LU does have deep pockets and they will be a strong competitor and they have the relationships with the Telcos. I think both will make lots of money and it will be worthwhile to buy both their stocks on dips. Both of them look fully valued but as a long term buyer of stocks, I wellcome corrections. Finally, my philosophy has allways been management is the key, monopoly is power and cash is king. CSCO does not have monopoly but has a good deal of the other two. Good Luck
