Actually, the 1993 Webster's (pocket edition I keep by my PC just for such showdowns as these) DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ADVISE in it. Boy did I get rooked. Has ADVISEMENT as a noun and other versions. Now it DOES have ADVICE as a noun. "Suggestion or recommendation as to a course of action."
