A dull, but informative link... This links to a working paper submitted to the FCC in March of '97. fcc.gov If you can get through it, there is a lot to learn. It talks about and defines internet telephony and IP protocol. It also talks to the areas of the difficulty of regulating a distributed network (like, where do you begin?) and some of the impacts/effects on current technologies and businesses. Its long, but I think, worth the struggle. For those that don't quite get what the technology is all about, it will answer a ton of questions. Lazarus, with the last load of laundry in the wash :)
