the only way to insure your investment against the abusive practice of undeclared , naked shorting is for shareholders, en masse, to demand their shares in Name form. When the float is in Name form, any shares sold naked (in excess of the public float) must be covered. They can only be covered by buying certificated shares in the open Market, this is a 'short squeeze', you name the price, the naked short must pay it.
