Jack, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need" is the underlying premise of socialism and communism. Both are evil for they place a lien upon individuals of ability in favor of individuals without. In essence, needs surpass rights across the board which is perhaps one of the greatest evils ever foisted upon Mankind since the dawn of history. BTW, to say Jefferson would've supported the constitutions based on Marx's Communist Manifesto is a terrible injustice to one of the Fathers of Liberty. The only people afraid of "too much freedom" (and how do you define that??) are those that wish to subjugate individuals to their own will , whether they be budding Atillas or scheming mystics.
