What kind of degree is this? I've heard of a Computer Science but not this.

I find it hard to believe this since you don't even know what an OS is. It's pretty obvious to everyone on this board that you don't have the slightest clue of what you are talking about.

An OS stands for Operating System, which means its main function is to OPERATE. It is suppose to execute and manage application code, thus any code that is executed after the system boots up is an APPLICATION.

How come all the people who know nothing about software side with Microsoft?
