<<The only ones making out on this debacle are the current mmkrs and the lawyers.>>
Don't forget the cool million or more taken out by the insiders while running up the price with press releases announcing processor "sales", all of which have been subsequently renounced.
<<And of course, those looking to make light of other people's misfortune with jokes and satirical comments probably derive their own twisted pleasure from watching all of us.>>
I AM one of "us". I was merely responding to your own satirical post. Message 4478875 I am not laughing at my fellow investors for getting financially creamed along with me. My satire is aimed at the unfullfilled hope and promise that this company held out to me. I put way too much trust and "confidence" in the management of this company, breaking the basic principal strategies of diversification and succumbing to greed. After my initial investment under $3, I foolishly bought into the Irrational Exuberance here and in the company press releases, sold all of my other securities, and plowed the proceeds into GRNO during the runup.
This is ALL MY OWN FAULT! I take responsibility for making foolish decisions. But once burned... I have learned an expensive lesson. I read press releases now with a VERY skeptical eye. I will never put any real money into small cap stocks again. I missed out on the biggest Wall Street runup in history because my money is dead. When I build up a decent nest egg again, and I will, maybe then, and that's a big maybe, I will consider some small plays in the high risk arena again. But I am going to be the biggest frickin' skeptic you've ever seen. I don't care how trustworthy, honorable, and confidence-instilling the management is, if ANYTHING smells in the least bit fishy, I will run like hell!
<<Of course, they don't mind trampling the feelings of a couple of thousand souls while they're at it.... >>
I don't mean to hurt any investors feelings, and I don't think I really have. My point is that it seems that a sale to a company in Turkey is a desperate long-shot, and if it turns out to be another dead end I will not be suprised at all. Will anyone else? Based upon the performance of the company to date, I am saying put up or shut up. "Talk is cheap." "Money talks, bullsh*t walks!" "Show me the money." "Where's the beef?" "I'm from Missouri: show me" etc. etc.
If anyone has trampled on "a couple of thousand souls" as you put it, it is the public relations firm, the lawyers, and yes -- the management of GRNO. The buck stops there. Ultimately they made the final decisions that led our company to where it is today.
Finally, Ron, after re-reading my "junk-yard dog" piece, I owe you an apology. I got carried away when I followed Charle's link to the corporate registration information and had this mental image of man's best friend defending the place. I went too far, at your expense, for the sake of a joke.
I will remain a skeptic concerning hype and press releases, but will try to avoid personal cynicism. I bear no personal animosity towards you, and the invitation is still open to take you scuba diving whenever you and your wife have the opportunity to visit Maui.
