I tend to agree with you... but it seems ADI/AWRE is starting to test this thinking on the importance of standard DMT. The AWRE underwrite gave a number of lame reasons for the T1/AMTX solution that would produce a non-standard DMT chipset and questioned the importance of standard DMT. I took that as ADI/AWRE finally concluding that they would have to license from AMTX.
