The reason for the provocation is mentioned in my response to Haim recently.
I haven't had a chance to go back and examine all 18,000+ posts for consistency... more of an ad hoc thing. As far as I know, you came out of the blue and asked a direct question for what I saw as investment advise (there, I used it). If you have bothered to read the caveats SI puts out there concerning such things, you can appreciate MY concern that people would respond directly to you with no caveats of their own.
Unfortunately or fortunately, we live in a litigious (not in my dictionary so it MAY be right) environment right now and between SI blocking posters for their transgressions and the federal laws about having to have certification for giving out investment advice (haha... reverted back to bad old habits), I try to protect those posting here the best I can.
And the only person I can even say I know to any extent on SI at all is Haim as I have spoken with him personnally several times... so I have no idea where anyone is coming from on this or any thread, what ax they may have to grind or ox to gore, if anything.
The fact you would research to find out if I were consistent in the application of my caveats and the fact that you had to announce that this was your last post makes me wonder if I was right in my post to Haim that you had passed your initiation rite... whatever that means...
And no, not everyone out here has gone through an "initiation" rite... I know I have because I needed it.
Stay if you want, leave if you want... but spare us the melodrama of telling us you are leaving.
