Good ideas by Steady Safe Taxis

You are right. It was wrong of me to describe Steady Safe as just a taxi company. I used to advise people to visit Steady Safe Taxis as often as they could as the Investor Relations officer is the most beautiful woman I have ever met. I believed everything she told me about Steady Safe Taxis' vision for the future which included all of the following. This is in addition to being the largest taxi company in Jakarta (the cabs are the best by the way)

To become a nationwide coach service
To start up a domestic (and later regional) airline
To build a triple decker road network accross Jakarta (6 lanes cars, 2 lanes trains and then 4 lanes cars piled up in that order)
To run a Jakarta wide train and subway service
To run a nationwide ferry service

And to top it all the booking systems would all be interconnected so you could buy a travelcard that would allow you to use all these services with just one ticket.

Tutut (daughter of Suharto) did own a stake in it (they also owned a stake in Citra Marga, one of her companies).

I saw that Mark Mobius gave Philip Tose (co-founder of Peregrine) a job at Templeton. Maybe he'll take my advice and go and visit Steady Safe.

I love it.
