Innocent until proven guilty is fine, but why must we involve lawyers? France's system is much better. "The state" assembles all the evidence against a defendant they can, and the state rep and the defendant both go in front of a judge who questions them in front of each other and he decides the case. The truth is probably found much more often.

And..... after we prove someone guilty of murder, why are they allowed 15 appeals lasting 10 years before they are put to death? This is not justice.

In our society, the criminal always ends up better off than the victim. If this were hell that would be all good and well but this is the US of A man and it shouldn't happen. As for killing them "gently," why waste money and effort on gas or electricution? They still end up dying more peacefully than the victim. For violent murderors, I would volunteer myself to chop their damn head off.

Bring back the guilletine! It was inexpensive, efficient, and just!
