another tenet of the web is never believe anyone.
posting information that a person gets from a link, should always be accompanied by that link.(IMO)
let the people look for themselves, and decide for themselves. TG posted the link later, which was commendable. Had he not, what he posted would IMO, have been suspect. (because he was specifically asked to , and he had it)
