Sapient's Hallmark Discipline Will Now Be Offered By Its Enterprise Resource Planning Division

SAN DIEGO, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Sapient Corporation (NASDAQ: SAPE - news), an innovative provider of rapid
business and technology solutions, today announced that EXOR, its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) division, will now
offer fixed-price, fixed-time implementations of Oracle's enterprise software applications.

This approach delivers on the commitment the two companies made in December 1997, when EXOR Technologies, Inc. was
acquired by Sapient, to combine Sapient's fixed-price, fixed-time discipline with EXOR's Oracle expertise to provide a new
level of reliability and bottom-line success in utilizing mission-critical ERP solutions. EXOR will share its ERP expertise at the
Oracle Applications User Group (OAUG) conference May 17-20 in San Diego.

According to Advanced Manufacturing Research (AMR), a market analysis firm specializing in enterprise applications, ERP
implementation services account for greater than 60 percent of ERP project expenditures and the market for these services will
grow nearly 30 percent per year through the year 2000. At the same time, prospective clients are becoming more aggressive
about tying ERP efforts to specific business objectives and timelines. As a result, service vendors compete not only on their
ability to deliver specific functions, but more importantly, on their capability to project manage the entire implementation effort.

''For EXOR, the move to fixed-price, fixed time is a natural evolution of our project-focused methodology that, since 1990,
has provided our clients with on-time, on-budget implementations,'' said Carolyn R. Waygood, Sapient vice president and head
of the company's ERP division. ''We know how important it is for companies to quickly see the returns they expect from the
implementation of Oracle applications. Now, we will be able to give them even greater assurances that those returns will be
delivered at the cost they budgeted and within the time frame they expect.''
