Zeuspaul/Thread

I've been lurking on your thread for a couple of weeks and think you guys & gals (mostly guys) are about the most sincere, respectful, egos left at the door group on SI. Most of whats said is over my head, but i'm used to that feeling at this point in life anyway.

I've been position trading on a MAc for a couple of years and as I've been becoming more comfortable with shorter and shorter holding periods I now want to switch over to the PC platform (WinNT) for trading activity. (in order to avail myself of all the PC only SW out there).

My query here is if I don't want to build my own setup from scratch what is the best value bang for the buck or where do I go for guidance in the above. I have a feeling I could do a little better value vs price than just going out and buying a 300 mhz Dell. Upgradablility is high priority. The Sag Electronics reference appealed to me a lot in terms of getting configuration advise to run trading and TA SW and I would have them install and do the initial Windows NT setup for me. My goal would be to switch over to trading on an upgradeable NT powered PC as quickly and painlessly as possible.

You get the picture........ would Sag be as good as any way to go? or should I just do Dell although upgrading ( I hear) is not optimal? or maybe someone has another suggestion altogether................ any kind of input at all is desirable and appreciated. Thanks in advance and thanks for a great thread.
