Dave: From your response, I think it is accurate to say that you consider myself and everyone else that participated in the previous conference call (with the exception of Mr. Rosencrantz) to be "lackeys" of AB&G. This also apparently holds true for Ed Pettee as one of the invitees to tomorrow's conference call. If I may quote from Webster's:

"lackey...a servile follower; to wait upon or serve obsequiously; toady"

I apologize if my questions during the last conference call were not hardball enough for you. However, you are way out of bounds in suggesting that I "serve" AB&G "obsequiously".

You know, it's easy to sit back and criticize others efforts as being inadequate. It is much more difficult to get out there and actually pitch these hardballs you want so badly. Let me ask you, did you offer any questions or comments for inclusion in the letter that was sent to AB&G prior to the previous conference call last February? Did you have anything to offer during compilation of the memo to Mr. Hilliou recently posted here? Did you offer any suggestions on how to structure questions and comments to AB&G so there would be no "wiggle room for evasiveness". I reviewed every one of your posts going back to November, 1997 and the answer to every one of these questions is "NO".

There is a shareholders meeting coming up in a few weeks. This is a golden opportunity to get in the face of the CEO and the Board of Directors and let them know exactly how you feel. You can stand up and ask all the hardball questions you want. All shareholders are welcome to attend. Will you be among them?

Yes, I am personally offended at your calling me a "lackey" for AB&G and I would appreciate a real apology from you (not the "left-handed" variety offered in your post). More importantly, I'd prefer to see you pitch in and help instead of standing on the sidelines bitchin' and moanin' about how screwed up everyone else is.
