RE: I hope MD and the other high ranking DELL executives are not as short-sighted as you are. MD is a multi-billionair now. I believe he considers his reputation and integrity more important than the merely 10 - 15 points drop on the current DELL stocks, which is just pennies compared to what he owns now.

Take a look at this on the other side.
What if....
MD has seen his stock plummet by 75% before, and he knows that the stock market does not go up forever.
He knows that his stock is way overvalued now, and he knows he problems that his company will face.
He and his officers are consistent sellers of stock. More so now, as they know this could be a rare window of opportunity. In this situation, why not do as much as you legally can to promote and prolong this window.
Knowing much more about what lies ahead, This would seem a plausible
What if...
If this were so, it would imply that neither Dell management nor I are shortsighted.
