Ali, re:<larger working sets>

I recently compared the "memory move" performance of a K6-166 system with 1Meg of L2 cache to a K6-233 system using Intel TX chipset and only 512K L2 cache. (nbench.exe)

For small 4K block moves, the K6-233 is 40% faster, as would be expected. But for 200K and 2000K moves, the K6-166 is slightly faster. Extra L2 cache costing at most $10 may improve performance in Winbench'98 -- we'll see.
