LF,cost has gone down all year and the big boxmakers could only muster 20% profit margin,now cost are leveling off while they are forced to lower prices to the bear bone because of compitition and flat PC growth rate.Read DELL's report,% of rev from desktops/worksytations actually declined-% of rev of total sales in Americas, Europe and Asia were flat y/y so you are right they made most of their money on cost,on the same amount unit sales,but they will have to lower prices to compete in a increasingly crowded market place.You seem to decard the compitition.which I think will be a big mistake if you are buying these cos at these levels...MP
