Andrew,

regarding telecom equipment stocks, did you look at any of the superconductor companies (eg SCON, AMSC, ISCO...), which are developing / test marketing super-efficient filters for the mobile phone market ? V. interesting technology, with the likelihood of real earnings in the near term (and the outside possibility of massive earnings in future if they ever come up with useful room temperature superconductors)
