Robert,

I heard all those arguments when AMD and CYRX announced 486 clones. My argument is/has been that there is a HUGE difference between producing a product and selling it. I see no significant loyalty errosion next year and steady if not improving margins. CYRX and AMD are competitors. Relative to INTC, CYRX and AMD are like flies on the ass of an elephant. Customers, especially non-technical customers, want Pentiums. You and others continue to discount Intel's enormous marketing force and brand loyalty/recognition. I do hope AMD and CYRX can both survive. They help keep Intel sharp and pushing the envelope. More importantly, however, they help keep Uncle Sam off of Intel's back. AMD may make it. I don't think CYRX stands a chance of surviving financially unless they are bought out. I think in the end that this will be CYRX's fate. CYRX has no significant customers and their failed attempt to sell low margin PC's in order to sell CPU's was a final act of desperation.
