Thanks a.paisley for that explanation. What I don't understand about premiums on oex is: I was told to watch the dow for oex plays.
Sooo... this morning at open oex june 535 put was 10 3/8 ask(somewhere around this figure). this was when the dow was up around 9110 or so.

Later around 11:30 the june 535 puts were a loss of tinies with the oex down 1+ points.

this afternoon when the dow was down around 9165 or so and oex was down about 3+ points, the june 535 put was 10 3/4 bid.

Is this premieumn manipulation or what am I looking at the wrong thing. This was a paper trade.
