There are Netscape Navigator boxes sitting right next to the IE boxes and Windows boxes. I fail to see what limits Mr. and Mrs. Baby Carriage from reaching out and dropping that box in thier carriage.

And what prevents them from doing so. If anything, consumer ignorance or apathy for comparison shopping is in question here. If that is so, you cannot say that the consumer does not have a choice. Actuallky it is the exact opposite, they choose not learn about it. Does that mean that the DOJ should make SMFT contribute to NSCP's advertising and client education budget?

If Mr. Bill's competition made a mistake that let Mr. Bill win with better products, why would I want to get on without Mr. Bill. Is the government supposed to cripple MSFT until they lose? Suppose MSFT does ship NSCP with IE, and IE quickly rises to 95% market share. Will you then advocate more DOJ sponsored competitive advantages to the competition? At the rate we are going, the DOJ is going to turn Interent technology into a staid industry with heavy regulation and limited ROE, very much like the electric utilities. No more than 10% ROE, period....
