I called JTS last week and got the usual run-around everyone else got who has been posting on Yahoo. All I know is that Tramiel owns a lot of those Atari bonds and the Atari assets were "sold" to Hasbro 6 months ago. Anything not nailed down has been liquidated and there are only deadbeats left in the office. Draw your own conclusion. There wasn't even a bid on the bonds 3 out of 5 days last week.

One last thought. Since JTS defaulted on their bonds, Question: Why didn't the big bondholders (there are $40 million in 5 1/4% conv. '02 outstanding) force them into bankruptcy? Answer: Because it cost money to hire bankruptcy lawyers and JTS isn't worth it since there is nothing worth liquidating.

IMHO
