I think if memory serves me Cirrus said in the original press release regarding the buyback that the shares would be used for employee stock options....it seems as if Cirrus may aggressively be expaning their incentive program based on the comments of Mike Hackworth at hte H&Q Conference Interview....(assuming that it results in higher productivity meeting of goals etc)

It doesn't look like they want to "retire" the shares, but I think that right now, they have to seriously consider the fact that board re-election is in jeapordy and if they can

1. Buyback stock
2. Get the price of the stock higher by early / mid june via aggressivlly buying back stock...

THEY

1. Calm Mr. Teo and other "factions" down
2. Have votes that they can use to help lock in the board

Seems plausible and makes sense to me....
