Tim ... doesn't Lombard charge more for penny stocks. I remember getting a fairly large commission charge once on a stock that was below $1 - 1 cent per share plus a minimum commission charge. I use NDB. They do not charge the one cent extra charge on "unlisted" stocks. So, you can buy as much as you want of any bulletin board or OTC stock, and pay one flat fee. In addition, if the price should drop or go up in the same day, and you wish to average down/up .... there is no additional commission charge. One commission for one side trading in any given day. AND, THE QUOTES ARE REAL TIME AND ACCURATE.
