Michael; I asked one of the Orckit engineers this at a trade show a couple of years ago and he said they manufacture their own. FAQ seems to confirm that this is still the case <http://www.orckit.com/dsl_faq3.html> "Orckit is unique in that it also develops the core modem chip-set technology for the equipment systems." I believe Harris manufactures their VDSL chips. The Fujitsu marketing PR from May 6 mentioned Fujitsu would be manufacturing an ADSL chipset in conjunction with Orckit to be available in mid '98.
