so I decide to stop in the 57th & Broadway CompUSA and lo and behold-a new G3/25/13.3" powerbook on display. I ask the salesman (with a windows insignia on his shirt, clearly not related to the apple store) if they have any. He says "sure, we just got them in a few hours ago." He quotes the price of $3,899 and I tell him I'll take one. He goes to the back to get one for me, comes out, and says "I don't believe this-but we got 27 of them just a few hours ago and they are already sold out. My manager is freaking out and trying to order or "transfer" (whatever that means) more." So-once again, I am annoyed as a consumer because I really want one but can't find any. I am annoyed as an investor because I fear apple might not be keeping up with demand. I mean, it's not like they didn't know for months and months and months that these things needed to be ready. On the other hand, I'm excited because these puppies seem to be flying out the doors. I just hope apple isn't repeating its previous blunders...... -travis
