I also own G* and LOR (for a long time--don't know why both are down, except maybe Iridium being up now?). I think the GSTRF model re price is much better than that of IRIDF--ie .45/min whsle to national PTT vs $3.00 for Iridium. So they are not in competition with local carriers, who will then push their service.

<LVLT and Qwest look like they could do very well, but I haven't learned enough about the details of their plans yet to have a solid opinion. They certainly are the new models.... most telecom companies seem to be missing the boat completely.>

Agreed, own stock in both. More LVLT, since I averaged down last week. The market seems to like QWST MUCH better now. But I know the LVLT management from MFS days and have strong confidence in their ability to execute.

As you say, "cheap bandwidth is going to make another revolution." This is why these new IP networks will work and why Teledesic is brilliant. Motorola's Cyberster is in the future, pending success of Iridium.
