I looked at ELN many years ago. I was always worried about Irish equities because of the fluctuation of the Punt.

Many times over the years I was welcomed in Ireland with the "Hail Fellow, Well Met" friendliness of the Irish. Last time I was there I was given a surcharge for having British Pounds....something never discussed when they took my money at even when the Pound was higher than the Punt. I travel in Canada quite often as well. The ethic is a bit more straight forward.

So tell me, will the participation of the Irish in the European Community lend some stability to their currency and de-couple it from England's, in your view?
